On April 21, 2012, ℃-ute has held the release event of new single at Fountain Square on the ground floor of Ikebukuro Sunshine City. They had released 18th single from the major label “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku” on April 18. They appeared in the Fountain Square with stairwell ceiling open from the ground floor to the 3rd floor.

To celebrate the release of “18”th single, Yu Darvish had come in his baseball uniform with the number “18” he wore in the last Olympic. But it turned out it was famous impersonator Minivish who appeared in front of the expecting audience. Mai Hagiwara pointed out “You are wearing number 11, not 18.” When Airi Suzuki asked “Are you really good at playing baseball?” he answered “It’s a good question. I belonged to the football club in elementary and junior high schools.” The answer shocked them like a dead ball.

℃-ute had to fight the baseball game with Minivish for the hit of the new single. Their leader Maimi Yajima was chosen as a hitter. She gripped the bat and fully swung it to hit the ball Minivish threw while the members and fans sent her cheers. She finally hit the ball after the two strike count.
”I certainly hit the ball!” Yajima said after winning the game. Minivish joined to hope for the hit of the single with the confident face.

After the game they performed new single “Kimi wa Jitensha Watashi wa Densha de Kitaku” in front of the audience. The music video of the song can be watched on Youtube. Please check out various faces of them.

── How do you feel after the event?
Chisato Okai: We were surrounded by the audience from any side of the stage. The tension was really high. I felt really motivated and thought “I’ll keep on trying to do better in ℃-ute!”
Mai Hagiwara: There were so many people. At the hand shake session, some of the fans said it was their first time to come to our event. I was really happy to see them.

── About new single
Airi Suzuki: It is our first ballad single. The song is expressing the story of the lyrics very well. In the music video, we tried to reproduce the story of the lyrics like a drama. I hope it will open new world for ℃-ute.
Saki Nakajima: There are 30 patters of music videos for this single which include solo versions by each member. Looking now at some of the scenes I regret “I could’ve done better here.” But most of the videos are really well done considering the little time we had to shoot so many patterns.

── Yajima was good at swinging the bat. Do you have any experience in the baseball?

Maimi Yajima: I used to play baseball from my 1st grade to the 3rd grade. I also used to play softball from my 3rd grade to the 9th grade. I haven’t hit the ball for a long time.

── How did you like the character of Minivish?
Maimi Yajima: At first I was surprised to see him and thought “Why is he so small?” But he looked so confident that I’d like to learn from his strong attitude.
