“T-Palette Records 1st. Anniversary Live” for the only-idol label T-Palette Records by TOWER RECORD was held at Harajuku ASTRO HALL on June 9.

The first performers were Shizukaze, an idol duo performing mainly in Nagoya, and their sister unit KIZUNA. 4 members of KIZUNA appeared with the guitar introduction wearing Karate uniforms. They danced in Karate moves. 2 girls from Shizukaze joined to perform “Dokidoki Panic”. Their performances looked the ones of genuine rock bands when they splashed water from their months or dived backwards into the audience.

The second performer was LinQ, an idol unit from Fukuoka. They performed 5 songs including new song “Matsuri no Yoru ~Kimi wo Suki ni Natta Hi~”, a main feature of their live. The song sounded cheerful with the rhythms of Japanese festival music and Samba, to which Yuumi Takaki circled her fist wearing Happi, a Kimono for the festivals, in her solo part.

As the audience waited for the next performer, Mr. Minewaki, a CEO of TOWER RECORDS announced the surprising news: “T-Palette Records is going to welcome new group. They are called “lyrical school””. The audience got excited with anticipation. Then “tengal6”, an innocent hip-hop idol unit appeared on stage. They performed “tengal6” a regular song at their lives and told the audience: “We’ve moved to T-palette label and changed our name to lyrical school”. They showed pop and cute microphone performances and impressed the audience with their hip-hop spirits.

Being asked how they felt to be in T-palette, mei said happily: “ I was just so happy. I’ve performed with VanillaBeans and Negicco and been impressed with their cuteness and performances. I was so glad to be in the same label with them. I wonder they are okay with that.”

Then Negicco, a trio from Niigata who are going to celebrate their 10th anniversary in July appeared in pure blue dresses. When they performed new single “Anata to Pop With You!” to be released on June 20, the leader Nao☆ insisted they were so engaged in the song as always: “I heard someone posted on some website that we looked motivated for the first time in the photo on the jacket of new single. We’ve been always motivated!” Megu added “We’ve never compromised in our performances in 10 years!” to which fans cheered out loud.

The last performer was VanillaBeans, a clean and innocent duo blown by the wind from north Europe. They introduced themselves respectively and made the audience happy; Rena said “My favorite idols now are Shizukaze , KIZUNA, sisters Negicco and lyrical school fka tengal6.” Lisa said “I often shop at TOWER RECORDS.”

They performed new single “Non-section” to be released on July 4 for the first time in front of the audiences, who were all attracted by their performances. They perfectly did their job as the last performer sending fresh air to the floor with oldies-style sweet pop song “Choco(late) Mint Flavor Time” and their most famous song “Nicola”.

Between the songs, they looked back a year since they moved to T-palette label: Lisa said “In this year, we’ve been able to put many ideas into our music. We couldn’t say much about the way we wanted to sing before we moved to T-palatte.”

The live which made the audience anticipate for the second year of the label was closed with the engaging speech by the CEO of TOWER RECORDS. It was announced that lyrical school (ex.tengal6) would also join TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2012, which meant all the 5 idols from T-palette Records would get together there.
