BABYMETAL’s premium live “LEGEND〜 Corset Matsuri〜” was held at ROCK MAY KAN in Meguro, a shrine of heavy metal music in Japan on July 23. Only those who had applied for the lottery with the tickets included in their first solo CD “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” and luckily won the entrance tickets could attend the event.

To enter the venue of the event, everyone had to wear corset which came with the 1st Limited Edition of “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!” BABYBONE, a skeleton man who had appeared in the music videos surveyed the necks of the fans at the entrance. If he found the ones without them, he even helped them to put them on. Thus everyone was wearing corset around there necks inside the venue, which seemed to be an unordinary scene.

After the light turned out, the video was shown on the screen of white curtain. BABYBONE asked the audience from the screen: “BABYMETAL is going to challenge performing all of their songs for the first time at the live. Have you prepared your necks for head-banging?” The audience willingly answered “Yeah!”

When the curtain was up, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL appeared waving huge flags in their hands, followed by SU-METAL who was waving a towel with their names on. A casket with the cross on the lid and the amplifier by Marshall were set in the center back of the stage just like the stage set in the music video of ““Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!”

The first song they played was “Doki Doki☆Morning”, which made the audience most excited from the start. The song was followed by “Uki Uki★Midnight” which featured very loud metal sound despite its cute lyrics. They showed rapid hand dance moves in “Iine!” which they did perfectly as always. When they sang “Yo Yo!” in rap styles between the choruses, the members asked the audience to give them back more.

After the little interval, they performed loud, speedy tune “Ijime, Dame, Zettai (Say No to Bullies)” which hadn’t been released as CD yet but been popular at the lives. The song started with the dialogue “Why do we have to hurt each other?” Then YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL ran from the left end to the right end of the stage as fast as they could and passed each other. The sad sound of the piano, rapid guitar sound and aggressively changing melody were overwhelming.

When SU-METAL called “we are!” to the audiences, they responded “BABYMETAL!” They left the stage after SU-METAL counted “3, 2, 1” and beat the gong powerfully. It was so hot in the venue that you could sweat even if you stayed still. It was unbelievably hot.

BABYBONE appeared again in the video. He announced the schedule of their solo live at SHIBUYA O-EAST on October 6. When the curtain was up again, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL were head-banging on their knees wearing corsettes as though praying for the casket placed on the stage.

When BABYBONE opened the lid of the casket, SU-METAL appeared wearing the legendary corset. YUIMETAL and MOANETAL removed the corset from the neck of SU-METAL, who threw it away into the audience. For encore, They performed “Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!”. They sang in sync with the audience including the part where they sang “Karano!” which MOAMETAL had told us to be her favorite part in the previous interview.

They thanked the audiences “Thank you very much!” and asked them “to hear one last song!” They performed a short song with only one line “BABYMETAL DEATH (DEATH=DESU (polite copula)” and left the stage saying “See U!” raising their hands high in rock hand signs. 40 minutes of their performances had passed so fast. They had performed songs aggressively with little interval and talk session between the songs. It was really a powerful stage.

After this they will perform at TOKYO IDOL FESTIVAL 2012 on August 4. They will also compete with SuG and tamurapan at the summer live event on August 20 before the solo live at SHIBUYA O-EAST on October 6. Once you experience the live of BABYMETAL where God descends on stage, you would never be able to forget it. We strongly recommend you to experience it yourself.
